Thank You for a Special Day

Hello BRIGHT Run Family,

Happy October!

It was a pleasure to meet you at the 16th BRIGHT Run. I enjoyed being there. I thank the executive committee for providing me with the opportunity to be a speaker in the event.

This year, BRIGHT Run found its new home at the Christie Lake Conservation Area. A change took place in terms of the venue but your spirited presence, enthusiasm, and participation to support breast cancer research remained the same.

It rained but it was on and off. I walked with my family, friends, and colleagues. I had enriching conversations, some of which were related to generative AI (e.g., like ChatGPT which generates content in the form of text) and the changes it is bringing to education and teaching. I also talked to some participants whom I met for the first time. They shared their thoughts and ideas about research and breast cancer.

The area had lush green, the lake, the cloudy firmament – a combination which reminds me of my early school days. I used to walk to my early school in the mornings, through an area that had ponds, greenery, and a big portion of sky.

Your presence made the day special for me. I am moved by your continued efforts to support breast cancer research. Thank you all for your tremendous support!

Best,

Ashirbani
