For the second year in a row, the McMaster Athletics and Recreation’s Think Pink Week will benefit local breast cancer research through a partnership with the BRIGHT Run.
That means the university’s David Braley Athletic Centre will turn a lovely shade of pink from Monday Jan. 13 to Saturday Jan. 18, with fundraising activities every day of the week, including a spikeball tournament on Friday Jan. 17. Raffle tickets ($2 each or three for $5) will be sold every day, as will event T-shirts priced at $15.
Think Pink Week coordinator, soccer player Claudia Continenza, said men’s and women’s volleyball games will take place Jan. 17 from 6 to 8 pm, while men’s and women’s basketball games will be held on Jan. 18 from noon to 4 pm and Think Pink folks will be there selling cupcakes. Raffle prize winners will also be chosen that day.
It’s shaping up to be a terrific week!
