When and why did you become a BRIGHT Run team captain?
I became a BRIGHT Run team captain in 2016. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 23 in September 2015 and received nothing but the best treatment and support from the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. I completed treatment in May 2016 and felt compelled to give back to the cancer centre and hospital in any way I could.
How do you feel about the BRIGHT Run?
I think the BRIGHT Run is an amazing event. It gets friends, family and the community involved in supporting a great cause. It is such an inspiring and uplifting event.
What’s the best part of being a BRIGHT Run team captain?
The best part of being a BRIGHT Run team captain is being able to lead a team full of all the amazing people in my life and working together to support an amazing cause.
What kind of fundraising does your team do?
My team members do their own individual fundraising by asking friends, family and coworkers for donations.

Round up your team early and prepare for an inspiring day filled with laughter, tears and smiles.
