It’s Never Too Early to Raise Money! Play and Learn

Kudos to BRIGHT team Pink Ribbon Ride and captain Amber Ripa on an excellent fundraising event.

The team raised more than $800 by hosting an online trivia game last month. An online silent auction is also coming soon from Pink Ribbon Ride.

We say this every year and it remains the absolute truth: register your team early and get going on your fundraising. And the BRIGHT Run community group on Facebook wants to help you learn how to go virtual with fundraising.

As we head into our second virtual event with BRIGHT Run 2021, Pink Ribbon Ride is not the only team that has started early and on line.

In It Together and captain Donna Stampone have already had several successful online fundraisers and Diana Beckley’s team, Beckley’s Family and Friends, has recently launched its online silent auction.

Play and Learn

For many of us, virtual fundraising is a mystery. The BRIGHT Run community group on Facebook has a series of play-and-learn events aimed at helping us all get a handle on how to raise money on line.

The first event, last month, was hosted by Donna, who taught participants how to raise funds through a game of Spin the Wheel.

The group’s second event takes place via Zoom on April 22 at 7 p.m. Vanessa Sheppard will provide a play and learn session on Kahoot!, a platform that lets you create online trivia quizzes.

Participants will learn how to set up, create and run an online fundraising trivia night.

There will be a $25 Dollarama gift card prize up for grabs and a registration discount for all participants in the Play and Learn evening.

Keep an eye on BRIGHT social media for more details. Email teams@brightrun.ca by midnight April 21 to register for this fun event.

And watch for the next Play and Learn event to be held in May. You won’t want to miss the fun!
