BRIGHT Run brought its pink to the Juravinski Cancer Centre lobby to recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to raise some money for BRIGHT 2023.
BRIGHT volunteers Sandy Murphy and Lee Prokaska held a pink ribbon merch and penny sale for four days last month, meeting a wide range of terrific people at the JCC. Helpers Gerri Nyman, Mary Nolan and Nancy McMillan made guest appearances!
Five penny sale gift baskets were up for grabs and the winners are:
1. Scrapbooking – Amy Yanover
2. Stained glass and angel – Ava Citino
3. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate basket – Linda Weames
4. Tote bag and accessories – Rose Kuzmenko
5. Blanket and Snuggles – Sherin Packuparampil Sebastian
The lobby event raised more than $1,300 for BRIGHT 2023. That’s a great start!
