Long-time BRIGHT team The Girls of WW rarely seem to take time off from fundraising!
In December alone, the team popped up in the Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) lobby twice. First up was a massive book sale early in the month and, just before Christmas, they were back again with a tantalizing bake sale.
As a result, The Girls of WW had more than $2,000 in donations before 2024 had even begun!
Co-captain Lisa Rudd-Scott sees January as a time for renewal, refreshing, and planning for BRIGHT 2024.
“BRIGHT fundraising isn’t limited to the days and months of the summer,” Lisa said. “Planning fundraisers throughout the year spreads the workload and makes the task of fundraising so much easier.”
“When you complete smaller tasks over time, it contributes to the bigger purpose,” she said.
