Long-range Approaches to BRIGHT Fundraising

Barely a month after BRIGHT Run 2024, fundraising has already started for BRIGHT 2025!

First up was an Oct. 5 dinner/dance at St. Mary’s Reception Hall in downtown Hamilton, organized by BRIGHT team Breast Friends Forever. The evening featured live entertainment by Perswaysian, plus a silent auction and door prizes.

On Oct. 27, a Zumba fundraiser called Party in Pink took place at CRUNCH Group Fitness on Upper Centennial Parkway to support BRIGHT participant Jessica Lohnes, captain of team Pink Warriors. Attendees were treated to 90 minutes of energizing Zumba with four instructors.

Then on Oct. 28, BRIGHT benefited from a craft sale in the Juravinski Cancer Centre lobby, which featured a range of pins, hats, coasters, keychains, ornaments, bottle-toppers, and much more.

Next up will be Beckley’s Family & Friends. After a brief hiatus, Diana Beckley will be back in the Juravinski Cancer Centre lobby on Nov. 29, with her terrific craft safe to raise money for BRIGHT Run 2025.

And watch for BRIGHT team the Girls of WW, who will have a scrumptious bake sale in the JCC lobby on Dec. 17.  These team members are excellent bakers and you need to be there early so you don’t miss out!

We’re hearing lots of rumours about fundraising still to come in early 2025, so watch the eNews and BRIGHT social media for details.

If you’re planning a fundraiser, let us know so we can help you promote your event. Email details to Lee Prokaska at lprokaska@outlook.com

There’s no such thing as “too early” when it comes to fundraising for BRIGHT Run!
