Our BRIGHT Run community partners are already stepping up with their 2025 commitments. Participants are registering, launching fundraising campaigns, and getting pumped for another incredible year.
The BRIGHT Run depends on this power trio: participants, community partners and volunteers. We have no paid staff, so it’s volunteer all the way. Our wonderful community partners pay the freight, through both financial and in-kind contributions. And this is why all the money raised by participants goes directly to breast cancer research in Hamilton.
How can you help? Sign up as a volunteer for BRIGHT Run 2025!
We’ll need a small army of you on event day, Saturday Sept. 6, at Christie Lake Conservation Area to keep things running smoothly.
You don’t have to wait until September to join us!
- Join us in June to staff our BRIGHT Run table at the Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) lobby. We’ll be there for two days most weeks and we hope your smiling faces will be there too, helping us spread the word about BRIGHT Run.
- Join us in August the Peach Festival in Winona. Volunteer there and you’ll get the added bonus of being able to purchase your fill of peach sundaes!
- Join us at our two T-shirt pickup days Closer to the event.
For secondary school students, this is a great way to capture some community service hours. For everyone else, volunteering with the BRIGHT Run is a special opportunity to become part of a strong and fun-loving community.
Volunteering has numerous personal and community benefits. It strengthens communities, provides work experience, builds skills, helps personal growth, and improves mental and physical health.
