BRIGHT Run is happy and grateful to welcome LiUNA Local 837 back as our presenting community partner for the sixth consecutive year!
For the past six years, the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) has provided outstanding support to BRIGHT Run as we raise money for local breast cancer research.
Representing workers from various sectors across Canada, LiUNA plays a pivotal role in building the backbone of our communities. From constructing roads, bridges, and transit infrastructure to working on tunnels, high-rises, and contributing to the energy, industrial, and healthcare sectors, LiUNA’s dedication to creating stronger Canadian communities is notable.
The partnership with BRIGHT Run is with LiUNA Local 837, which covers Greater Hamilton/Niagara, through the union’s charitable arm, LiUNA Lending a Hand.
Thank you to Joseph Mancinelli and Victoria Mancinelli. Joe is LiUNA’s International Vice President and Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Canada, which has 160,000 members, while Victoria is Director of Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and Strategic Partnerships.
LiUNA is active in our community, supporting a wide range of charitable organizations as well as spurring several large redevelopment initiatives in Hamilton’s downtown core, including the redevelopment of the historic Lister Block, the restoration of the former CN Rail Station into LiUNA Station, and the development of long-term care facilities.
BRIGHT Run and LiUNA share a common goal: the commitment to community wellness and the pursuit of a BRIGHTer, healthier future for all of us. LiUNA’s continued support empowers us to keep moving forward in our effort to fund critical breast cancer research in our community.
