Here’s a message from the Cobalt Queens that explains what they’re all about:
“At the inaugural BRIGHT Run in 2008, the radiation therapists at the JCC formed a team called the Linear Accelerators. This team has been consistent in their fundraising over the years.
This year, a group of retirees decided to form the Cobalt Queens as a homage to the treatment machines of the past. We would like to dedicate this year’s fundraiser to Pat Grant, a partner, friend and dear colleague whom we lost recently.
Breast cancer has touched each and every one of us at some point in our lives. This is a small way to give back to a worthy cause. “
