We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – BRIGHT Run can’t happen without our stellar volunteers.
Again in 2025, volunteers of all ages answered the call. In the months leading up to event day, they staffed lobby sales, sold raffle tickets, and spread the word in the community.
Most importantly, they turned out on event day, ready to take up their assignments with smiles on their faces.
A core group of a couple of dozen volunteers work year round to get ready for event day. But those folks can’t do it alone on the big day.
More than 200 volunteers showed up when they were needed most. They directed traffic – both vehicles and people. They got you registered. They cheered runners and walkers on the trails. They took care of your bee stings. They sold you the pink merch you really needed, helped take photos of your puppies, draped medals around your necks at the finish line… and so much more.
To the newcomer volunteers, we’re so happy to have you on our team. And to those who return year after year, including one who comes all the way from Mexico, thank you so much for sticking with us all this time.
