The BRIGHT Run executive took the COVID-19 pandemic seriously right from the start, discussing very early in the year the possibility that the BRIGHT family would not be able to gather safely at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area on Sept. 12.
It was a difficult discussion, over several meetings. Most members of the executive committee are “of a certain age,” so we had some trouble visualizing an event that didn’t involve in-person connections.
But by May, we had concluded we could not count on COVID running its course by September. BRIGHT was going virtual, whatever that might look like. And we were going to make it great!
Thanks to you – the BRIGHT Run family – and our new friends at Kitestring and Soundbox, it all came together for the Sept. 12 virtual BRIGHT Run!
